Adam, Colin, Felix and Julius, after 6 years, are taking a sabbatical
from WOTG. They are individually pursuing careers in music, adding
variety to their collective growth. Colin has been playing locally in
South Florida, such as at Arturo Sandoval's on Miami Beach, Julius
has been performing in NY and Florida with the Bendy Pastorius
Group
, while Felix has been on the road and studio with Jeff Coffin,
as well as working with the Bendy Pastorius Group.

The band was invited to participate in the Penang Jazz Festival in
Malaysia on December 1, 2007, Jaco's birthday. The Penang Jazz
Festival committee was so kind, and generous to make it available
to the band, but after working so hard on making it happen, Felix
and Julius had to cancel the trip because they were recently informed
by Jaco Pastorius, Inc. that an event honoring their father is taking
place on December 2 at the Broward Center for Performing Arts with
the great Peter Erskine, the big band, Gerald Veasley, Jimmy Haslip,
and more. To their great disappointment they had no choice but to
withdraw from partaking in the Penang Jazz Festival, hoping for
understanding, and the possibility of a performance in the future.
They all had been looking forward to it, and this twist of events
sadly placed them in a predicament of having to cancel.

As soon as the specifics about the December 2 celebration
becomes available it will be posted here.
