Above are four officially released transcriptions and lessons books,
created to do everyone involved the justice that is due Jaco.
Dan Towey's book and CD pack (left), Bass Signature Licks,
"breaks down Jaco's style and technique,
looks at his signature grooves,
and analyzes 15 key recordings".
Sean Malone's, The Solos Collection (2nd left),
"analyzes 13 Jaco solos".
The Greatest Jazz Fusion Bass Player (3rd),
and The Essential Jaco "both feature
note-for-note transcriptions with tablature".
The Pastorius Corporation has given
Hal Leonard exclusive rights to release the transcriptions,
so that Jaco (in name), and his children receive proceeds from
the sales of the jacopastorius.com endorsed music books above.
