"Interestingly, when I bought tickets for the 1979 Berkeley Jazz Festival I had no idea
who Jaco was. Once the show got underway however, I was completely captivated
by his charisma and unique fretless technique. I entered the Greek Theatre a Joni
Mitchell fan, but exited a Jaco fan realizing I had just witnessed something
revolutionary. I now understand how perfect a choice Jaco was for a Mingus Tribute."

Quoting Bob's 8 year old daughter:
"It's sad God wanted Jaco back in heaven so soon, but with his music he can be in our hearts forever."
